1st .. cut your nail.
2nd ...put on clear nail polish
3rd.... take whit nail polish
4..... put it on the tips
remem. dont put it from one side of the nail to the othe.. then fill the space in.
do it the other way.. take the brush.. then stroke it from one side to other.
5...... after drying put another coat of clear.

You can buy little white sticky strips (places like Wal-Mart or large drug stores carry them). Once you've put on your base coat and let it dry, you stick these white things on your nails and they act as a barrier so that the polish you're using for the tips doesn't run. They're pretty good and relatively inexpensive (a couple of bucks gets you something like 100 strips). You just peel them off when you've done the tip colour and apply your top coat. Good luck!
