A French manicure has stark white tips. An American manicure looks more natural without a noticeable line on the free edge of the nail. Both look good, IMO.What is the difference between a French manicure and an American manicure?

As far as I know, a French manicure has very squared off edges with a white stripe, while an American manicure as more curved edges and the stripe can be any color.
