What all is included with a manicure?

This coming weekend I'm joining a new friend to get manicures. I've never had one before. What all do they do?What all is included with a manicure?
First they will have you soak your hands in a water soap solution. then they will usually work on your cutical. sometimes they file your nail first or they will wait till just before they paint them. be sure you are happy with file job before they put the color on. After soaking and cuticle they will work and massage a hand cream on hands and arm area to premote nail growth. last but not least the polish.

They usually cut your cuticles, cut/file your nails, rub lotion on your hands, then paint your nails... that's what happens when I get one done.

First, you'll pick a nail color. Then they'll remove your old nail polish, cut your nails if you want them to, soak your cuticles, trim your cuticles, file and buff your nails, then paint them with a base coat, a couple coats of polish, and a top coat. Most salons have nail dryers too, so you leave with your nails nice and dry.
